For many students the opportunity to question and talk with those already working within their chosen profession is invaluable. Coupled with the opportunity to meet and socialise with those young people from across the country, with whom they share a common goal and future, the conference experience will prove immensely rewarding. Additionally the conference will introduce you to the concept of diagnosis through ‘hands on’ practicals. This is a particularly important session as modern nurses increasingly find themselves in a position to make and assist in the preliminary diagnosis of their patients.

You can work with the newborn through to the elderly, within a medical speciality or a surgical team. For the modern nurse the career opportunities are vast and bewildering. Additionally as a qualified nurse you will have the opportunity to work abroad or to remain at home, to choose between working within the health service or private practice. With so very many opportunities and possibilities, this conference will outline the pathways open to you and the means of selecting between them, as well as introducing you to some you may never have considered.
